Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is for the HR professional with a Bachelors Degree and two years of experience in a HR department and who is under the guidance of a senior-level HR professional.

Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is for the HR professional who designs and plans HR policy. You must have a Bachelors Degree and five years of professional HR experience. You must be recertified every three years to make sure you stay current in the HR field.
