Online Degrees in Education

If you are thinking of pursuing one of the online teaching degrees there are many careers in education if you enjoy working with young people of different ages.

Teachers give instruction to those in preschool or kindergarten, all the way to high school and on to college.

With enough and the right kind of education, those that earn educational doctorates or Ph.D.'s in education can work at universities training teachers or doing educational research.

Alternatively, you can be principals, superintendents, or do any number of other jobs in teaching within school districts. You can even teach in foreign countries at international schools. Some positions do require certain degrees in educational administration or curriculum.

Teacher salaries nationwide range from approximately $30,000 annually in rural districts to over $80,000 in some urban districts for teachers with a few years of experience. High School principals can make in excess of $100,000 and superintendents, many times, make two or three times that.

You can see what your future teacher salary could be by going to the Postsecondary/College Teacher Salaries Table or the K-12 Elementary Education and Higher Teacher Salary Table and entering the year you expect to graduate.
